Quit breaking the rules, already!

News from the off-season in college football is never good. Never. Guess what the folks in Baton Rouge and T-town got bombed with yesterday.

Ryan Perrilloux, the seemingly always-in-trouble LSU quarterback, was suspended again. Already, the usual LSU homers are rallying to his defense. He was suspended for trying to sneak into a casino with a fake i.d. at age 20. This shows the level of stupidity that Perrilloux stoops to because he was one of the biggest recruiting coups ever for the Purple and Gold, yet he thinks that he can sneak into a casino in a state where 90 percent of folks couldn't even name their congressman, but could identify him in a second because he was Louisiana Mr. Football in high school and perhaps the highest-profile recruit in that program's illustrious history? DUH!

And this guy has just scads of God-given talent. What a waste.

Also, backup defensive lineman Jeremy Elder was arrested for armed robbery! He's now the seventh player arrested since Saban took over. Granted, all of those arrested were Shula recruits. Shows you how well Mike recruited and did background checks, doesn't it?

I just can't believe the stupidity of these guys. You get a free education, something that you'd have to pay student loans back for the rest of your natural life if you didn't have a 40-time under 4.7 seconds and you have the fame (and perks like all of those hot SEC women) of being a football player in the nation's best conference, with plenty of exposure that will likely land you in the NFL if you shine brightly enough (and keep your nose clean).

Yet, we always hear about stupid things like this happening. Elder could go to prison for a looooooooong time. I'm just glad for his sake that his victims weren't a believer in the Second Amendment like me. He would have gotten a taste of the Mozambique drill from me if that would have been me.
